Boston Celtics Blow Out Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of NBA Finals

The Boston Celtics took a commanding lead in the 2024 NBA Finals, blowing out the Dallas Mavericks 107-89 in Game 1 on Thursday night.

Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics with 32 points and 8 rebounds, while Jayson Tatum added 26 points and 10 rebounds. The Celtics shot 56.1% from the field and held the Mavericks to just 37.3% shooting.

The Mavericks were led by Luka Doncic, who had 24 points and 12 rebounds. However, Doncic was not able to get much help from his teammates, as Spencer Dinwiddie was the only other Mavericks player to score in double figures with 16 points.

The Celtics took control of the game in the first half, taking a 57-41 lead into halftime. The Celtics continued to pour it on in the second half, extending their lead to as many as 28 points in the fourth quarter.

The Celtics now have a 1-0 lead in the series, with Game 2 set for Sunday night in Boston.
