Oilers win big, stay alive in Stanley Cup Final
Edmonton Oilers defeat Florida Panthers 8-1
Oilers one win away from first Stanley Cup since 1990
The Edmonton Oilers stayed alive in the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday at Rogers Place with an incredible 8-1 victory over the Florida Panthers.
A victory for the Oilers would not only end Canada's decades-long Stanley Cup drought but make Edmonton the second team — the first being the Montreal Canadiens in 1993 — to win the Cup on home ice.
The Oilers beat the Dallas Stars 2-1 to earn a spot in the Stanley Cup final where they will battle to become the first Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup since the Canadiens in 1993.
