Bradon Schecker Named 2024 Recipient of the San Jose Sharks' Charlie Weinger Award
The Vegas Golden Knights' 2023-24 regular season has ended, and the team has announced the winners of its regular season awards.
Forward Braden Schecker was named the winner of the San Jose Sharks' Charlie Weinger Award, given to the team's top defensive forward. Shehcker led the Golden Knights with a plus-minus rating of +23 and blocked 82 shots this season.
Other award winners include goalie Logan Thompson, who won the Chick Norris Award for the team's top goaltender, and defenseman Shea Theodore, who won the Cliff Fletcher Award for the team's top defenseman. Thompson posted a 2.31 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage this season, while Theodore had 12 goals and 35 assists in 77 games.
The Golden Knights finished the regular season with a 43-31-8 record, good for third place in the Pacific Division. They will open the playoffs on the road against the Calgary Flames.
